What this tool does

A burrito is a stack: tortilla, rice/beans, protein, extras. This page adds those rows. A bowl without the tortilla is lighter by the wrap.

How it works

Regular tortillas start near 290 kcal; large ones higher. A rice-and-bean scoop is modeled as ~210 kcal. Protein and extras sit on top.

How to interpret the result

Chicken + cheese on a regular wrap is often 700–850 kcal. The works on a large tortilla can pass 1,100. That can be a day’s fat-loss lunch by itself.

Example

Regular, chicken, cheese: tortilla + rice/beans + chicken + cheese is commonly ~800 kcal and high protein.

Common mistakes

  • Forgetting chips and queso on the side.
  • Calling it a bowl in the log and a burrito in real life.
  • Double rice “because it’s free.”

When this estimate may be off

  • Official chain PDFs exist — use them for that brand.
  • Breakfast burritos with fried potatoes.

Frequently asked questions

How many calories in a burrito?

Restaurant burritos often land 700–1,200 kcal. Build yours here; extras decide the top end.

Is a bowl always better?

You drop the tortilla (~300 kcal). If you then add extra rice and guac, you can get it back.

What if I skip rice?

This version always includes a rice-and-bean line. Mentally subtract ~150–210 kcal if you skip both, or use the meal analyzer.
