Protealpes

Disclaimer

Last updated August 23, 2026

Protealpes provides educational calculators, guides, and estimates. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. It is not a substitute for a physician, registered dietitian, or other qualified professional. Nothing on this site creates a professional–client relationship.

Health and nutrition

Calorie, macro, hydration, body-composition, and meal-analysis numbers are estimates. Equations such as Mifflin-St Jeor describe groups better than individuals. Photo and language analysis can misidentify foods and portions. USDA-derived matches can still be the wrong row for what you ate.

If you have an eating-disorder history, are pregnant or breastfeeding, are under 18, take medication that affects diet or fluid, or have a condition that affects how you eat, get in-person care before you change intake, exercise, or hydration based on a website.

Seek emergency care for chest pain, fainting, severe dehydration, suicidal thoughts, or any symptom that needs a clinician — not a calculator.

What we will not do

  • We do not recommend crash diets, unsupervised very-low-calorie plans, or dangerous dehydration.
  • We do not prescribe supplements, drugs, or medical tests.
  • We do not interpret lab work, imaging, or a diagnosis from a photo of food.
  • We do not have clinicians on staff. Content is product-edited, not medically reviewed. See the editorial policy.

Educational calorie floors on some tools (about 1,200 kcal/day for female formula inputs and 1,500 kcal/day for male formula inputs) are planning brakes. They are not a recommended diet and not a clinical RDA.

Advertising

The Site may show advertisements, including ads from Google AdSense and its partners. Those ads are selected by third parties. They are not medical advice, not an endorsement, and not a Protealpes product review. We are not responsible for the claims, products, or privacy practices of advertisers. If an ad looks inappropriate, use the ad's own feedback control or email [email protected].

Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website or other websites. Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Ads Settings. Alternatively, visit www.aboutads.info. See the privacy policy and cookie policy.

Accuracy and sources

We cite formulas and public datasets we use. We can still be wrong. If a number looks off, check the methodology page and tell us. We would rather correct a page than defend a round number.

Limitation

Use of the Site is at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Protealpes is not liable for decisions, injuries, or losses that follow from relying on a tool, a guide, or an advertisement. The terms of use also apply.
