These terms govern your use of Protealpes at protealpes.net (the "Site"). By using the Site you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

The Site is educational software. It is not medical care, not a dietitian visit, and not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. Read the disclaimer with these terms.

The service

We provide free nutrition calculators, guides, and AI meal tools. We may change, pause, rate-limit, or remove any tool or page. Calculators may be used without an account. AI endpoints are rate-limited and may be unavailable.

Results are estimates. Formulas, food matches, and photo analysis can be wrong. You are responsible for how you use a number.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site. The tools are written for a general adult audience. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should review these terms and the disclaimer with you. The Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Site to diagnose, treat, or manage a medical condition, or to provide clinical care to someone else.
• Attempt to extract secrets, abuse rate limits, scrape the food table at a volume that harms the service, or interfere with other users.
• Upload unlawful content, or photos of people — especially children — without the right to do so.
• Misrepresent Protealpes results as a prescription, a lab result, or an official USDA label for a restaurant meal.
• Use the Site to promote eating-disorder behaviors, unsafe fasting, or unsupervised extreme restriction.

Your submissions

Meal descriptions and photos you send to an AI tool are used to generate a result for that request. You confirm you have the right to submit that material. Do not submit faces, identity documents, or someone else's private medical information. See the privacy policy for how submissions are processed.

Advertising

The Site may display ads, including ads served by Google AdSense and its partners. Ads help keep the tools free. An advertisement is not an endorsement by Protealpes. We do not write the ads, and we do not control every creative that appears. Clicking an ad may take you to a third-party site with its own terms.

Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website or other websites. Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Ads Settings. Alternatively, visit www.aboutads.info. Cookie details are in the cookie policy.

Intellectual property

Calculators, copy, trademarks, and the Protealpes name belong to us or our licensors. You may use the tools for personal, educational purposes. You may not copy the Site wholesale, republish a tool as your own product, or use our name to imply a partnership without written permission.

You may link to any public page. Food data is derived from public sources such as USDA FoodData Central; those sources keep their own terms.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that a calorie, macro, hydration, or body-fat number is correct for you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Protealpes and the people who operate it are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or health outcomes that arise from your use of the Site or from ads shown on the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to the amount you paid us to use it in the twelve months before the claim (which is zero if the Site is free).

Some places do not allow certain limits. If those rules apply to you, some of the limits above may not apply, and you may have additional rights.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Protealpes harmless from claims that arise from your misuse of the Site, your submissions, or your violation of these terms, except to the extent a claim is caused by our willful misconduct.

Third-party services

AI features depend on OpenAI. Ads depend on Google and other vendors. Hosting depends on our infrastructure providers. Their outages, errors, and policies are outside our control. Links to other sites are not endorsements.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms by posting a new version with a new date. If you continue to use the Site after a change, the new terms apply. We may suspend access if you break these terms or if we have to protect the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws that apply in your place of residence to the extent a court requires a choice. Protealpes is an educational website, not a law firm, and this page is not legal advice to you.
