What this tool does
You get a calorie target from the same energy engine as the rest of the site, a protein gram target, a token carb line, and fat as the remainder. It does not prove carnivore is optimal.
How it works
TDEE from Mifflin-St Jeor × activity, then a lose/maintain/gain adjustment. Protein uses the muscle or deficit range. Fat = leftover calories / 9.
Formula and methodology
Calories from the calorie-target function. Protein g from 1.6–2.4 g/kg depending on goal. Carbs = 8 g. Fat g = (kcal − P×4 − C×4) / 9.
How to interpret the result
If fat grams look enormous, the calorie budget is large or protein is modest. If you wanted plants, use the regular macro calculator.
Example
80 kg, maintain ~2,600 kcal, protein ~152 g, carbs 8 g → fat fills the rest (~200 g). That is a lot of animal fat on purpose.
Common mistakes
- Assuming “carnivore” automatically burns extra calories.
- Ignoring electrolytes and fiber-related constipation as “detox.”
- Using this for a medical elimination protocol without a clinician.
When this estimate may be off
- Kidney disease, lipid disorders, or pregnancy.
- You eat cheese and milk in volume — lactose and extras still count.
